Doctor of Philosophy Hooding and Graduation Ceremony Information

Monday, May 9th, 2022 at 2:00 p.m.
Matthews Arena, 238-262 St Botolph St, Boston, MA 02115
Each student will be allotted 6 guest tickets.

 

Event Schedule
  • 12:30 p.m.: Student Report Time
    • Student lineup location: Gainsborough garage
  • 1:00 p.m.: Doors Open for guests
    • Lobby entrance, St. Botolph St.
  • 2:00 p.m.: Ceremony Start Time
The ceremony will be livestreamed for all who are unable to attend. Details will be on the commencement website on the day of the ceremony.
Parking Information
  • We have arranged for complimentary parking at the Columbus Garage for you and your guests. Parking will be available on a first come first serve basis. Click here to view the parking pass.
  • Parking is also available for a fee at Renaissance Garage.
Health and Safety Information

  • At any time, Massachusetts and Boston’s COVID guidelines may be subject to change.
  • The following items are prohibited (no exceptions):
    • Backpacks or bags larger than 12″x12″x12″
    • Handbags of acceptable size may be allowed entry after search
    • Umbrellas that do not collapse into 12 inches or less
    • Artificial noise makers
    • Balloons
    • Weapons
    • Laser pointers or similar items
    • Alcoholic beverages
    • Outside food/beverages
    • Strollers
    • Drones
  • No storage/check area is available for prohibited items.
  • Patrons may refuse to have their bag searched and will not be permitted entry with the bag.
  • Additional Note: garment bags carrying academic regalia may be allowed after search. RSIG Security will notify NUPD of illegal items, dangerous weapons, drugs, etc.
Academic Regalia
  • Cap and gown will be available for you to pick up at Solomon Court, Cabot Center on the following dates and times:
    • Wednesday, May 4: 2 p.m. – 8 p.m.
    • Thursday, May 5: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
    • Friday, May 6: 2 p.m. – 8 p.m.
  • At pick up, please provide your full name to the staff to receive your regalia package.
  • If you are not able to pick up your cap and gown at these times, you can have a friend or family member pick up on your behalf or it will be available for you to pick up at graduate line up on the day of the ceremony.
