For Faculty and Staff

Fenway Registration Information

Northeastern invites all Faculty and Staff to participate in the 2025 Commencement ceremonies at Fenway Park.

Call for Faculty and Staff participation will be available by February 2025 for next year’s ceremonies.

Academic Regalia

If you are registering as a faculty, there is an opportunity to participate in the faculty procession and be seated on the field at Fenway Park. Within the registration, please provide your regalia information to receive a rental regalia (if you do not own one). You will be required to wear your regalia throughout the ceremony.

If any Northeastern Faculty are interested in purchasing their own regalia to wear at ceremonies, they can order a custom fine-quality robe through our vendors Oak Hall. Click the link below to learn more:

Cadre of Marshals

The Cadre of Marshals is a group of full-time Northeastern University faculty members who support University commencement and convocation ceremonies. They officially serve in formal roles in ceremonies as marshals for stage parties, faculty, and students to keep an orderly pace and safety for attendees.

Cadre members are recognized by carrying a ceremonial mace branded with the university seal and an official cadre pin that marks the members’ years of service. If you are a full-time Northeastern University faculty and are interested in joining as a member of the Cadre of Marshals, please email [email protected] for more information.

As of 2024, Mary Jo Ondrechen was appointed as the Chief Marshal of the Cadre of Marshals. She is also currently a chemistry and chemical biology professor in the College of Science. The Chief Marshal is responsible for organizing the cadre and role assignments and formally starts and ends each ceremony by processing with the university mace.
