Eligibility

All degree candidates who complete their degree requirements in Mills College at Northeastern between Fall 2023 through Summer 2024 are eligible to attend the April 27, 2024 Mills College at Northeastern Commencement Ceremony.

Tickets

Each graduate can claim up to 6 guest tickets.

Students should receive instructions to claim tickets in their Northeastern email address early February.

To go back to your guest tickets, follow these instructions:
– Log in to http://northeastern.marchingorder.com/ using your Northeastern email address.
– Click “Print/Email Tickets”. You have the option to either print each ticket or email your tickets to your guests.

Can I register for extra tickets?

Additional ticket requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis. There is no guarantee that additional tickets will be available. This form will close on Wednesday, April 10, 2024. Submit Request for Additional Tickets.

Do children and babies need tickets?

Children 2 years or younger who are able to sit on an adult’s lap for the duration of the ceremony do not need a ticket. Children older than 2 years must have a ticket. 

Guests

  • All commencement guests must provide a government issued ID along with an electronic or paper copy of their ticket for admission to the campus.
  • There is ample parking across campus, ride share services are encouraged. Please leave extra time as there is only one entrance.
  • Golf carts shuttles will be available to and from all parking areas.
  • Seating is on a first come, first served basis. Folding chairs and blankets are permitted.
  • Guest seating opens at 8:30 AM
  • The ceremony is outdoors on Holmgren Meadow, rain or shine. 
  • Prohibited items: No weapons, alcoholic beverages, artificial noisemakers, drones, all balloons, selfie sticks, confetti of any kind, and umbrellas (unless raining). This is a non-smoking campus. Private parties on campus, post event, are not permitted.
  • The only animals allowed into the ceremony seating area   are those serving as guides, or service to aid guest or graduates with disabilities.
  • The Tea Shop and Cafe Suzie’s will be open.
  • Following the ceremony please enjoy the Farewell Reception with your graduate. Located on the lawn of the Natural Science Building, behind the seating.

Class of 2024

  • Please arrive on the Oval no later than 8:30 am and enjoy a light breakfast (for candidates only).
  • Once you arrive stop at the registration table to pick up your Marching Order walking card.
  • Wear your regalia, it is required for participation.
  • A commemorative water bottle will be available to you to take to your seat. Please do not bring personal items with you as there will be no secure area to store belongings.
  • You will be outdoors on Holmgreen Meadow for the ceremony, where comfortable footwear and sunscreen.
  • Grad Images will be available for portraits in Mills Hall living room until 9:30 am. During the ceremony they will be taking photos as you cross the stage along with a posed photograph. 
  • Following the ceremony please enjoy the Farewell Reception with your family and friends.
