Morning refreshments will take place at Milton Court for all students and guests. Information on how to get to Milton Court can be found in the ‘Getting to The Barbican Centre’ section below.

Your guests will need to take their seats in Milton Court Concert Hall at 12:15 p.m., for the ceremony to commence at 12:45 p.m.. The ceremony will last approximately 75 minutes and will be followed by a drinks and canapé reception in the Barbican Conservatory from 14:30 p.m. Further information such as the order of awards will be shared with graduating students and their guests on the day.

Student Speaker

Each year the class of graduands nominates a speaker to represent that graduating class. Please cast your vote on this Student Speaker Form for the person you would like to have to deliver the class representative graduation speech. The last date to nominate is July 3, 2023.

Academic Gowns

Academic gowns and caps are now open to be hired from Ede & Ravenscroft. You will need your student ID and surname to login.

The deadline for academic dress hire is Friday, August 11.

On the day of the ceremony, gowns will need to be returned by 16:30 in the Barbican Conservatory.

Entry to the ceremony requires a ticket for both graduating students and their guests. Tickets for graduating students and their guests are free of charge. These can be secured via the Ede & Ravenscroft website when you complete your gown hire. Each student is allotted up to 3 guest tickets but more may be made available after the closing date. To request additional tickets, please email [email protected]. Additional tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis however it is not guaranteed that additional tickets will be made available.
The deadline for claiming guest tickets is Friday, August 11.

Seating in Milton Court Concert Hall is not assigned for guests unless they have access requirements. Please see the ‘Accessibility and Further Information’ section below.

Seating for students however will be assigned as per their course.

Children under 3 do not need a ticket as long as they don’t occupy a separate seat in the theatre. They will also need to be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Photography of individual graduates and their guests will be provided by Ede & Ravenscroft and all photos will be available for purchase at a later date. You can purchase photography at the same time as your tickets and gown on the Ede & Ravenscroft website. Photography can also be purchased on the day of the ceremony, however, we recommend purchasing it ahead of time to avoid disappointment.

All graduates are requested to stay back after the ceremony for a group photo.
