In the event of rain, ponchos will be provided to students. We recommend dressing appropriately for the weather and allowing extra time for entry.

Duration:
Each ceremony will last 90-120 minutes. The graduate procession into Fenway will begin 1.5 hours before the ceremony start time.

The ceremony will be livestreamed for all who are unable to attend. Details will be on Northeastern Global News on the day of the ceremony.

Eligibility

All Master and select Doctoral (DMS, DNP, PharmD, DPT) level Boston candidates who are completing their degree requirements between Fall 2026 through Summer 2027 are eligible to attend the Graduate commencement ceremony.

Please note that all Doctor of Philosophy, School of Law, College of Professional Studies Doctoral candidates will have their own specified ceremonies. Click here to find your eligible ceremony.

This arrangement will be reviewed annually based on participation and attendance.

Eligibility FAQ

What if I completed my degree in December 2026/August 2027? Is there another ceremony?

There are no commencement ceremonies held directly following Fall or Summer terms. If you graduate within the 2027 school year (Fall 2026 to Summer 2027) then you are eligible to attend the Spring ceremony held in May 2027.

I am graduating from a Northeastern global campus. Can I attend the in-person Commencement in Boston?

We strongly advise attending the ceremony held at your primary campus for your commencement. Each Northeastern campus will be hosting a ceremony for its graduates. Please click here view dates and locations for your ceremony.

A separate registration will be emailed from your specific global campus.

Ticket information for the 2027 Commencement ceremony will be posted next year closer to the ceremony date.
