Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to your questions about Commencement.
Will the ceremonies be COVID-19 safe?
Yes. As with every aspect of our campus reopening and throughout our academic year, our utmost priority is the health and safety of our community—including the family and friends participating in person. For example, seating will be spaced to comply with Massachusetts state guidelines.
Visitors must remain away from campus if they feel sick, have tested positive, or believe they may have been exposed to COVID-19.
Are there COVID-19 testing requirements for attending graduates? What about their guests?
As part of our continuing commitment to the health and safety of the Northeastern community, Northeastern has updated its protocols to require full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test for external visitors attending indoor events, in addition to wearing masks while indoors. This guidance applies across all of Northeastern’s North American campuses.
