Leading up to the Commencement ceremony at Fenway Park, graduates also have the opportunity to attend their college celebration to be recognized with their peers on Northeastern’s campus. Each college will be hosting a unique experience for their graduates and festivities will be active across campus with photo ops, interactive installations, and fun gifts.
All College Celebrations will be held at Matthews Arena, unless otherwise noted. Please plan to join fellow classmates and guests immediately following at the Husky Hospitality Hub at Cabot Physical Education Center, for refreshments, music and photo opportunities. The Husky Hospitality Hub will be open for 1.5 hours after the end of each College celebration. Each student will be allotted 3 guest tickets.
Seating in Matthews Arena is unreserved and on a first-come, first-served basis. Space is limited. Overflow space is available at the Husky Hospitality Hub in the Cabot Center.
What is the difference between Celebrations and Commencement?
These College Celebrations are recognitions of individual achievement where graduate names are called and graduates cross the stage. Celebrations are hosted by the college or special interest group.
University Graduate and Undergraduate Commencement ceremonies are the university-wide ceremonies at which President confers degrees. Doctor of Philosophy, School of Law, and College of Professional Studies graduates have their names read and cross the stage at their own Commencement ceremonies.
